Corner Piece / Interface 1 was first publicly exhibited at the gallery Aanant & Zoo, Berlin, in 2012. Installed in the second of two gallery rooms, the wall drawing is conceived in relation to the cube artwork Interface No. 1 (2012) and shows the net (flattened pattern) of the cube. The artworks are presented face to face in an interplay of two-dimensional and three-dimensional forms. Spread out over two adjacent walls set at a right angle to each other, the drawing presented the first step in the process of folding up the net, a flattened pattern, into a three-dimensional cube.
